Searching for a true move
Be. and Become More
What is sftm?
"Searching for a True Move" is a dance practice for identity seekers and imaginative storytellers. It’s a socio-kinetic lab for dancers to embody the invisible aspects of our humanity; namely, who am I and what am I capable of. Artists are offered training practices inspired from Acting, Dance Theater, Street/Club Dance, etc. to become more clear and concise when expressing their humanity. Love, trust, and play are foundational to the experience so artists can courageously search for and express their truths.

“One of the things that impacted me the most (about) your work is the use of face expression, emotions, and gaze intention. It has helped me understand we are not (just) individual artist(s), we are part of a beautiful community.”

“I think my most significant realization was how I have to be upfront and understanding of my feelings”

“…to completely let go is extremely terrifying, but it is also much closer to rebirth… And that rebirth I believe is something that our process in NDCL is helping me reach.”
