Beyond the realm
Step through the screen into the process unseen. Here lies the work that shaped Lowelyfe Ep. 1-- artist collaborations, artifacts of the undone, and the foundational lore that the myth builds from.
Character
What would it look like for street/club dancers to develop their characters beyond the dance floor? What kind of world would we live in? What kind of lives would we live? How would society treat us? What would society have to go through in order for them to value us within our fullest imaginations?

Staying in Character w/Cue & Milan

Comprehending how Panafrican history and intersections live through me is one of the most fascinating endeavors! I had visions of this make up, which inspired me to wonder if there were connections to Panafricanism beyond my Afro-Usonian knowledge (minstrelsy, black face, racism, etc.). I discovered both my Panamanian and Bissau-Guinean roots carry deep liberatory practices using similar looks! I'm able to carry ideas of political and spiritual resistance, the warrior spirit, and more due to learning about the Congo dance tradition of Panama, and the rites of passage rituals in the Balanta tribe. I embodied the Lowelyfe universe-- a sense of my ancestral past calling me towards comprehensive knowledge.
